Natural Gas Savings
Switch to natural gas right now, and you may spend less on energy costs over the next year than those who stay with oil or electricity.
Those Who Switched Last Year Could Have Saved:

* Consumption levels and savings may vary significantly based on appliance and household characteristics, lifestyle, and energy
prices. Natural gas and electricity prices are based on an average rate from February 2012 – January 2013. Oil prices are
based on an average rate from November 2011 – October 2012. Natural gas prices are based on Enbridge Gas Distribution
Inc.’s residential rates. Oil prices are based on retail prices for the Toronto region. Electricity rates are based on Toronto Hydro
rates and do not include the Ontario Clean Energy Benefit. Costs have been calculated for the equivalent energy consumed and
include all service, delivery and energy charges. All comparisons are based on an energy-equivalent annual consumption level
of 3,064 m3/yr. The assumed heating and water heating efficiencies are as follows: natural gas 75%, oil 72%, and electricity
99%. HST and rental/financing costs not included.
