Getting natural gas at home is easy. Just follow these steps:
Ask your neighbours or call us at 1-877-736-1502.
If gas is not available on your street:
You may still be able to receive natural gas, as long as there's a gas line in your neighbourhood. We'll need to find out whether other people on your street would like to hook up to natural gas.
Once gas is available on your street, you'll need a licensed heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) contractor to install your natural gas equipment.
Your HVAC contractor should complete an
Application for Street Service and send it to us or
fax it to one of the following numbers:

Once we receive your application, we'll start the process to install a new gas line and gas meter.
Review our service level timelines to see how long it will take to get your natural gas line hooked up. If your home has an inactive gas line, we simply need to install a meter.
Enbridge will provide and install one service line per civic address at no charge to new customers, provided that:
1. The measurement between the owner's property line, up to a maximum of 2 metres past the livable portion of the premise, is 20 metres or less in total length. Service and metre installation in excess of this distance will result in additional charges of $32 per metre (plus Taxes).
All applicable charges will be billed to the owner on the owner's Enbridge bill.
Please note, Enbridge Gas Distribution will contact the owner to discuss any additional charges not identified on the gas application prior to processing.

Once you have been connected to the gas line, your HVAC contractor will install your natural gas equipment and appliances and connect the supply line to your gas meter.
For your safety, we will inspect your installation and unlock your gas meter for free to make sure your installation meets all applicable codes and standards. (If it does not meet our requirements, you will have to pay for additional inspections.)
Contact us at 1-877-362-7434 (1-877-ENBRIDGE) to book an appointment. We can perform an inspection the same day your gas equipment is hooked up.
Remember, don't disconnect any of your current heating equipment until your gas service and meter have been installed and passed our inspection.
